Receptionist / Shop Assistant
Position Summary
Bianco Electric is seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking Receptionist / Shop Assistant to support both office operations and shop activities. This full-time position is approximately a 50/50 split between administrative office duties and hands-on shop support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on a computer, assisting with office tasks, and helping maintain an organized and efficient shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Office / Reception Duties
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Greet visitors, vendors, and customers
- Organize and maintain digital and physical job files
- Scan, copy, file, and distribute documents
- Perform data entry and update tracking spreadsheets
- Assist with email management and document organization
- Support project managers with administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate and organized office records
- Assist with general office operations as needed
Shop Assistant Duties
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming materials and deliveries
- Pull and stage materials for upcoming projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles
- Deliver materials and tools to job sites as needed
- Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas
- Track inventory and notify management when stock is running low
- Dispose of scrap materials and help maintain the yard and shop areas
- Assist field crews with basic support tasks as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working both in an office setting and in a shop environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor when needed
- Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous administrative, receptionist, or office experience
- Previous warehouse, shop, or construction experience
- Familiarity with construction or project-based work environments
- Basic knowledge of electrical materials and tools
Work Environment
- Approximately 50% office work and 50% shop support
- Combination of desk/computer work and physical shop activities
- Indoor office and shop work with occasional outdoor yard work
- Fast-paced environment supporting electrical construction projects
Schedule & Pay
- Full-Time Position
- Monday–Friday
- Typical schedule between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM (may vary based on company needs)
